GodotCon 2026

We were really hoping to make the journey from Tasmania to GodotCon Amsterdam 2026 this year, but sadly it wasn’t to be. The cost of travel during the war, the insurability situation, and a bunch of other things piling up meant we had to make the call to stay home.

We’d been hoping to run a workshop, show off a bunch of awesome games built with Yarn Spinner for Godot, and talk about our plans for the recently released GDScript version of Yarn Spinner, plus the upcoming improvements to the C# version of Yarn Spinner for Godot. We’re gutted to miss it, honestly. The Godot community is one of our favourites, and Amsterdam would’ve been a treat.

So! In lieu of showing up in person, here’s a quick update. We’re hard at work porting all of the Yarn Spinner for Unity Samples over to Yarn Spinner for Godot (GDScript and C#), and here’s a preview of them running:

We can’t wait to show you more very soon. If you’re at GodotCon, have an incredible time, and please come say hi next year. We’ll do our best to be there.

As always, you can help us keep the project going by purchasing Yarn Spinner (and some exciting add-ons) on Itch, or via the Unity Asset Store. Stay up to date with Yarn Spinner via Bluesky and Mastodon, and join our Discord to be part of the community!
